Hi.
I am in need of a new car, as mine is shot, and I need a car that will be able to haul my harpsichord around to gigs. (I know. Get a hearse.)
I would like to do something more enviro-friendly than a gas car, and would rather opt for bio-diesel. I've been having a hard time finding diesel station-wagons that aren't either very old, or very new and extremely expensive. So any ideas there?
Also, I live in Wisconsin, and I have to park my car outside, so I'm a bit worried about how the car will start in sub-zero temps. Someone had told me that it's possible to get a warming kit of some sort that could remedy that. Does anyone know about this or other helpful ways to keep the vehicle functioning in the cold?
Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Looking for some biodiesel help
Tue, September 11, 2007 - 6:19 PMUnfortunately, early midsize diesels didn't do very well in the eyes of the market, so were dropped until recently. So, your choices are small diesel, as in a VW wagon, or a large truck-based diesel like a van or Suburban.
And a 'warming kit' - a block heater and maybe a battery blanket - should not be very hard to find, your local auto parts store should carry them, or you can go through catalog dealers like JC Whitney.
