Advanced and beginner biodiesel homebrewing class:
December 16-17, 10-4.
This class will fit in more advanced biodiesel production techniques
than I usually teach, but is still geared for complete beginners.
Along with all the 'normal' homebrew chemistry, we'll cover the
acid-base techniques in this class, along with quality testing, soap
reduction, dewatering, other forms of free fatty acid reduction,
quality control, washing, emulsions, ethanol biodiesel, and all usual
basic information that I cover in the more basic two-day class. This
class takes place at a shop space near the Berkeley/Emeryville border.

Re: Adanced/beginner biodiesel class in Berkeley dec 16-7
Sat, December 16, 2006 - 1:36 AMif you want to learn about biodiesel, make it a point to make it out to one of Girl Mark's classes. Besides all the free info she has up on her site, itt's the perfect opportunity to find out what you've been doing wrong in your pursuit of liquid gold.
I've seen her in action, she preaches the good word in terms that the lay man can understand. I fully endorse her and implore that you support her in her mission.
Disclosure statement: I am not affiliated nor have ever been affiiliated with Girl Mark. Having attended one of Girl Marks sessions as a silent observor I am satisfied that she has an excellent grasp of the science of biodiesel. Having said that I am stating of my own free will that any person that is interested in learning how to make this stuff would benefit well from attending one of these sessions.
Anyone that has read any of my previous postings knows that I do not readily endorse anyone, and espeiially not folks looking for endorsement, wack science is wack science dont expect any mercy. Well in this case I am willing to concede Girl Mark has not asked for any endorsement. Girl Mark has proven herself as being truly knowledgeable about biodiesel and is doing a great service to our community and I want to make sure that other foilks know that.
So I'm not going to beg you to go, or even ask you to go because thats not what I'm saying, But i will say if you live within practicle range to attend and your looking for good knowledge and experience, make it a point to be there.
That is all, I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
